Google's Chrome Browser 55 Defaults to HTML5, must manually add Flash

Google’s latest version of Chrome is beginning to roll out to Chromebooks and Chrome OS devices. As we mentioned in an earlier post this year, Chrome version 55 will automatically default to HTML5.

This may not be news to some, but this may be huge for those who frequent sites that prioritize or only use Flash-based plugins. Chrome 55 will prioritize HTML5 by default, and users who prefer to use Flash can do so by manually changing the feature in settings.

Chrome version 55 is currently out. Chrome version 56 currently in beta, promises a larger update and is set to release at the end of next month. For more information on the release vist Google here.
